Halloween 2026 falls on Saturday, October 31, which makes it the single busiest Halloween night Las Vegas has had in years. Everything worth doing splits into four groups: haunted attractions you walk through, immersive experiences you play, costume parties and nightlife, and family-friendly daytime events.
The walk-throughs last about fifteen minutes. The experiences you play last one to three hours. If you only have one night, that difference decides your whole plan.

What's Different About Halloween 2026 in Las Vegas
Two things changed this year.
Freakling Bros. Horror Shows is dark again. After pausing the 2025 season, the company announced it is also sitting out 2026 and returning in 2027. For thirty-plus years Freakling was the default answer to “what haunted house should we do in Vegas?” It is not an option this Halloween, and the crowds it used to absorb are going somewhere else.
Halloween season now opens in September. The Halloween Escape Room Fright Experience at Number One Escape Room runs September 6 through November 1, 2026 β every day, day or night. If you are visiting Las Vegas in September or October at all, you do not have to wait for Halloween weekend to get the season.
Haunted Attractions You Walk Through
Asylum & Hotel Fear β Two connected haunted houses at Meadows Mall, one ticket for both. Asylum is marking its 26th season, which makes it the longest continuously running haunt in the city. Runs October nights only.
Universal Horror Unleashed at AREA15 β Four themed haunted houses inside a permanent, year-round horror venue on South Rancho Drive. Not recommended for children under 13. Open outside of October, which makes it a reliable fallback if you are here at an odd time.
Ghost tours and paranormal walks β Downtown and Boulder City both run haunted history walks. Lower intensity, good for mixed groups who don’t want to be chased.
The honest limitation: a walk-through haunt moves you along a fixed path in ten to fifteen minutes. You wait in line longer than you’re inside. On Halloween weekend, those lines are long.
Immersive Experiences You Play Instead
This is the category most Halloween guides skip, and it’s the one that actually fills a night.
The Halloween Escape Room Fright Experience
Number One Escape Room turns both Las Vegas locations spookier for the season and runs a three-hour, lights-out block called The Darkest Hours.
Dates: September 6 β November 1, 2026, daily, day or night
Price: $119 per player, three hours, four-player minimum, up to 40 players
Rooms: Up to five back-to-back β Witch House, The Cabin (Chapter One), The Shed (Chapter Two), CHAINED β Seven Deadly Sins, Voodoo Lounge, and The Dark Side of Red Riding Hood
Scare level is yours to pick:
- Level 1 Spooky
- Level 2 Scary
- Level 3 Extra Scary
Live actor add-on: $200, and it changes the night completely
Costumes encouraged. Ask for the free Seven Deadly Sins trick-or-treat bag while supplies last.
Booking: Call (702) 528-1459 β the Fright Experience cannot be booked online.
Locations:
1775 E. Tropicana Ave., Ste. 100, Las Vegas, NV 89119 β minutes off the south Strip
6820 W. Sahara Ave.
Individual games run year-round too: $29 per person for CHAINED and Voodoo Lounge, $45 for most rooms, and $65 for the two-hour Cabin & Shed Combo, the signature back-to-back play.
Voodoo Lounge is the only rotating-platform escape room in the world. Minimum age is 10; under 16 needs an adult.
Don’t Look Under the Bed
Third Gate Escape on West Sahara devotes an entire standalone building to one experience, and it is the closest thing Las Vegas has to walking into a horror film instead of past one.

Hours: Sun, Mon, Wed & Thu 1β9 p.m.; Fri & Sat 1β11 p.m.; closed Tuesday.
Arrive 15 minutes early.

Between the two venues: nine Best of Las Vegas 2026 nominations from the Las Vegas Review-Journal, a FOX5 Vegas Viewer’s Choice Award, Vegas People’s Choice Gold, and more than 13,000 five-star reviews.
Costume Parties and Nightlife
Every major nightclub and dayclub on the Strip runs a Halloween block from roughly October 29 through November 1, usually with a headlining DJ and a costume contest.
Rooftop parties downtown at Circa and the Mob Museum’s Underground tend to be the better-value alternative to a $100 club cover.
Costume rule people learn the hard way: casinos do not allow full-face coverings, realistic horror masks, or simulated weapons on the gaming floor. You need to be identifiable. Plan a mask you can carry, not one you’re stuck in.
Family-Friendly Halloween in Las Vegas
- Trick-or-treat trails at shopping centers and retail plazas across the valley, mostly late afternoon on the 31st
- Pumpkin patches and harvest festivals in Summerlin, Henderson, and Moapa Valley β carnival rides, corn mazes, fair food
- Witch House at Number One Escape Room β the family-fun room, hocus-pocus magic and colorful spells, and the one you actually want to wear costumes into
- Scare level 1 keeps it fun for kids 10 and up
A Halloween Night Plan That Actually Works
Afternoon (2β5 p.m.): Trick-or-treat trail or pumpkin patch with the kids, or a late lunch off-Strip while the Strip fills up.
Early evening (5β8 p.m.): One walk-through haunt, early, before the lines triple.
Prime time (8β11 p.m.): Your anchor. A three-hour Fright Experience block, or the 11 p.m. Don’t Look Under the Bed game on Saturday night.
Late (midnight on): Fremont Street or a club, still in costume.
The mistake most groups make is stacking four fifteen-minute attractions and spending the night in parking lots and queues. Anchor the evening with one thing that lasts, then fill around it.
